Anima Science

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
-Anatole France

Inside the word, “animal” is the Latin word ‘anima’, reflective of the soul/inner self. This program explores the individuality of the various residents of the manor— from ruminants to avians to reptiles. The goal is to not only gain experience working directly with the residents & their day to day routine care but also to attempt a better understanding and appreciation for their inner selves and their rich cognitive lives.

This will be achieved by on-site hands-on work as well as off-site reading and video assignments. We will meet twice weekly for a three hour period over the course of four weeks. Open to youth ages 16 through college-aged; great for those interested in pre-veterinary medicine, psychology, non-human anthropology, and other related fields.

Tuition: $600
