Join us for a morning of hard work and fun as you participate in a service project – anything from planting garden beds to pasture cleanups. It is a great opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the farm while making a valuable contribution to the sanctuary.
PLEASE NOTE: Because organizing service days at the farm requires a time and financial investment from our stewards, we require a $50 non-refundable commitment donation from volunteers. In case of cancellation due to weather, tickets will be accepted at a following volunteer day.
All volunteers are required to sign and submit a liability release waiver before their day of service. Any volunteers without waivers will be unable to participate.
What To Expect
Volunteer days run from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and include a 30-minute break with snacks and time to mingle with a resident in the buffer. There is a 10-person maximum for each date, so please sign up early!
Keep in Mind…
Please keep in mind that you will be helping at a working farm, so here are a few hints to make your time enjoyable:
- Leave the peep toe wedges at home: Chances are good you will step in manure during your visit, and even if you don’t, the ground is uneven and muddy, so we recommend closed-toe, sturdy footwear.
- Please bring a pair of work gloves to use while on site.
- Check the weather forecast: There is always work to be done at the farm (even in the rain), so please dress appropriately and know that you might get wet. It is a good idea to bring a change of clothes, just in case.
- Sheep don’t eat Cheetos: We ask that you keep food in your car, so the animals cannot eat it. If you’d like to bring a snack for the residents, we encourage you to leave fresh produce or greens at the front gate
We look forward to seeing you at the farm!
